About Me and The Site

Since i was 10 years of age i started to like military things,i liked toy guns and playing army with my mates and so on. When i reached 11 i started to get into ww2 and war films. Me & my grandad got a new VHS war film nearly every 3 weeks and we watched it together and he would explain to me whats going on and whats what in the video,i would then reply asking my own questions and thats how i got into world war 2. I then went out bought books on the war and really started to get into the photo side of war and that kinda led me to make this site.

As well as my interst in war i also got Interested in guns and different types of rifles, pistols, machine guns and so on.Once my brother got the internet about 7 years ago i really got into the whole war thing and spent alot of my time watching war footage and playing online war games and thats where ive been up until 2 years ago. I lost my intrest in war for about a year and now im starting to get back into it again.

Ive always had an interest in war + media, especially film and photos so i thought the best thing to do was to share the images that the photographers fought so bravely to capture was to create one site that anybody can come and take a look at.

Ive had people moan at me over the years that war photos are not ment to be seen and its horrible to see war. Yes! i agree war is not nice to see happen but humans are born to fight each other and its bound to happen, but i do not agree that war photos should not be seen, the photographers braved there lives to show the people at home what the soldier sees threw hes eyes and the only way that can be done is with a photograph,as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words" and without those pictures all we have is memorys.
